REACHING OUT TO A GLOBAL AUDIENCE
Despite having his hands full as the CEO of a 24/7 news channel providing live transmission simultaneously from 5 different bureaus and spearheading its CSR program, Amir Jahangir takes out time to offer his expertise to different business and media related organizations on a global scale. These include
• Advising the President CNBC Pakistan on Corporate Matters and Strategic Communications and Planning.
• Simultaneously Mr. Jahangir’s effective communication skills and dynamic mindset have also earned him the distinction of being selected as Program Advisor to the VINNOVA-Stanford Research Center for Innovation Journalism at Stanford University, California. Sharing his own successes and experiences with a global, multi ethnic and multi-cultural audience at the institute, Amir has made numerous well received presentations on new ideas and solutions to communication and media in Pakistan.
• Recently, The Association for International Broadcasting (AIB) also selected Mr. Jahangir amongst the 20 leading international media and business representatives from across the world as a jury member for the AIB’s International Media Excellence Awards 2009. This was the first time in the history of Pakistan that a Pakistani media professional was selected as part of a jury by the Association for International Broadcasting.
• The Polio Control Cell has also received high acknowledgment at the international forums, where Mr. Bill Gates, Co-chair and Trustee of the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation and the Director General World Health Organization, Dr. M. Chan has applauded the SAMAA model as “THE PAKISTAN MODEL” and called it a role model to be replicated in other epidemic developing countries.
