LEADING FROM THE FRONT-HONORING THE ARMED FORCES

Amir Jahangir has taken personal interest in honoring the Pakistani Armed Forces stationed at the Line of Control for their sacrifices and dedication in safeguarding the nation in these turbulent times.

Going where no CEO of a media organization has ever gone before, Mr. Jahangir has made trips to the front and honored the men in duty from the Armed Forces and the National Police Force, who lost their lives in this ongoing war. With his dynamic public presence and a commitment to recognizing his role in the Pakistani landscape, Jahangir has given the phrase leading from the front a whole new meaning.

Amir Jahangir has also shown his support and solidarity with the victims of terrorism. In the year 2009 Pakistan saw the world’s largest internal displacement due to the military operation against terrorists I Swat. More than 21 million women, children and men were forced to leave their homes to avoid becoming victims of terrorist activities. Mr. Jahangir made personal trips to far flung refugee camps and distributed essential and basic food supplies amongst the victims of terrorism.
