DIVERSE WORK EXPERIENCE
• From his student days Amir Jahangir has proven his leadership skills by heading and managing the public relations of student welfare organizations. He worked extensively to liaison with various government departments for the eradication of mass poverty and illiteracy in the country.
• This was followed by a stint with the print media where initially in the capacity of a reporter he covered news on information technology, computers and the new trends in the technology arena. Later as Editor he was responsible for the Editorial Policy and overall augmentation of the publication.
• Amir Jahangir also founded and acted as the Chief Strategy Officer of his own Public Relations and Communications firm called Mishal. Through his excellent communication and PR skills, the organization was able to build an extensive network of media organizations for strategic communication for non-paid communication strategies.
• Mr. Jahangir has also been a part of the launching team of the Competitiveness Support Fund, the first joint venture initiative of the USAID and the Government of Pakistan. He worked on the medium-to long-term media development strategy for Pakistan as in charge for the Innovation Journalism Program, a program in collaboration with the Stanford University.
• Other experiences include positions of being a strategic communication consultant to various other initiatives on economic & strategic development. He also managed Pakistan’s partnership for the Global Competitiveness Network of the World Economic Forum and earned the title of the most innovative strategist for developing a comprehensive strategy for the Executive Opinion Survey for the Global Competitiveness Rankings of the WEF to collect soft data on Pakistan.
